Light Discipleship Institute

The Metropolitan Light Discipleship Institute will again convene for an eight-week session, offering classes geared to nurture Christians of all ages and in all stages of life, in their growth from membership to discipleship! Classes are open to all members of Metropolitan NTM Baptist Church, as well as to the entire Capital Region community and beyond.  All classes are free-of-charge.  Course books may be purchased on the first day of class.

Registration

Class registration begins on Sunday, February 6, 2012 and will continue to the first day of classes. Participants are asked to select ONE class to attend for the entire eight-week session.

To register, complete the form within this brochure and submit it to the Metropolitan Church Clerk’s Office, or to any Usher during Sunday Worship Services. You may also register online via our website at www.MetroBaptistAlbany.com.
Our class sessions will culminate with a Completion Celebration, during which the participants that attended six or more classes will receive a Certificate of Completion. Everyone is expected to attend as many class sessions as possible in order to gain a substantial understanding of the class.

Drop/Add Period

In order to ensure that the participants receive maximum instruction, this year’s session will include a drop/add period, which is designated as the first two weeks of classes. It will only be during this period (the first two weeks of classes) that any participant may switch their registration from one class to another. Following the first two weeks of classes all participants must attend the class for which they are registered in order to receive proper class credit and be eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion.

LDI 2012 Classes

The 2012 Light Discipleship Institute is pleased to present the following six classes for adults as well as classes for teens and children:

ADULT CLASSES

  • COURAGEOUS MEN (Men Only)
  • GOD'S VESSEL (Women Only)
  • SPIRITUAL FORMATION (COPP Phase I class)
  • BEHAVE YOURSELF! (Study of the book of James)
  • RELATIONALLY SPEAKING (For Singles)
  • NEXT LEVEL YOUNG ADULTS (Ages 18-35)

TEEN & CHILDREN'S CLASSES

  • GROWING IN GRACE:  MALES (ages 12-17)
  • GROWING IN GRACE:  FEMALES (ages 12-17)
  • GROWING IN CHRIST (ages 11 and under)

A limited number of books will be available for purchase on the first day of class.  Books may also be purchased or online at www.amazon.com (including Kindle versions) as well as at the Parable Christian bookstore in Latham.
